Hi new to this forum, I am a long time whaler owner and last year purchased a 1998 Ventura 20. Above the bilge area there is an approx 10x20 Viking Hatch that is warped and will not seal. I have tried heating and weights but it still leaks. Anyone know of a direct replacement for this off hand as Viking unfortunately is no longer in business? I contacted BW and they said they no longer had any specs to share, (I also asked for a schematic but that was for reference). Thanks Ray

I think you should/have to replace the hatch and mounting flange.

If you have a 1998 Ventura 18, the hatch is shown as part #48 in this diagram from Boston Whaler's Owner Resources section:

If you have a 1998 Ventura 20, the hatch is shown as part #30 in this diagram:

I would contact Bomar/Pompanette @ http://pompanettellc.com/bomar/com/bomar/ and see if they have the dimensions you need or something close.

If you get no joy from them, contact Sue Lodel, Parts Manager at Twin Cities. She knows all the vendors and can hunt down a replacement.

I replaced all my Viking deck plates including the one you are wanting to replace and bought them from Sue Loder at Twin City. This was for my 1995 24' Outrage.
This was two years and knowing Viking went out of business not sure if she still has them, but I would give her a call. 920-371-9422
