I have a 2008 150 Sport. Currently equipped with the original bow navigation light. To prevent wear on the rub rail when retrieving the anchor, a 2008 150 Montauk Bow Chock with bollards would sure be nice. The 150 Montauk IPL gives no info other than 'Press & Mount with Fasteners'. I believe the hole locations shown are for wiring. From what I see, the OEM PN is 1748820. I see an item MPD-8129 at marinepartsdepot.com for $160.00. Differences from OEM? Has anyone done this/can provide experienced detail? I'm not afraid of drilling holes in my boat. It's always best to both get the right thing and install it right the first time! Please Advise.
The IPL for the 2008 170 Montauk does provide a bit more mounting info but not sure about 'chafe protection' note on same. Same Chock PN as the 150.
Also, my 150 Sport has a topside bow cleat which I don’t want to relocate. Does that end my pursuit for the chock?
Thx,
Joe
