I have a 1972 13 foot Boston Whaler, and I just ordered a new Norman Pin for the bow. Before I put it on, I gotta do some work on the front notch where it goes due to some damage caused by previous use. Can anyone tell me the technical term for that bow notch so I can look up videos on how to repair it? Or could anyone give me guidance on how to repair it? I need to fix the starboard side hole since it’s misshaped (bigger) than the port side hole where the pin goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the help. I’ll give that a try and post an update when it’s finished.
