I'm building a new console floorboard for my 1978 Montauk. I'm not sure if the old one is original, so I'd like to know the following:

1. Where is the rigging hole cut?
2. Is it oblong in shape?
3. Is there a plastic collar to screw into the wood?

Thanks

I just went through this on my 1988 17' Montauk. I used 3/4 treated plywood, oblong hole cut above the rigging tube opening (was on starboard side originally), and reused the plastic collar. I covered the wood in a gray naugahyde type material.

Twin Cities Marine no longer has access to the floor board collar for my 1978 anno Domini Montauk 17. Any idea where I could get a replacement?

Make your own is probably the only way.

You can use a rigging flange. In white:
