Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 1965 13 Whaler sport “rub rail”

Not necessarily the rub rail but the area around the hull where it’s attached.

I looked and quite a few restoration pics on here and performed searches I wasn’t able to find a valid answer.

So I am wondering, is this originally how the 13’s were made or did a prior owner screw this strip on (see pic) glass it in, then screwed rubber rail to it?

That boat is definitely a "custom". If this picture works this is what it is supposed to look like. >>>

That green line is where the outer shell is glued to the inner shell, then while it is still in the mold it is injected with foam.
