Looking for side rails and bimni top. I had read that the quality of specialty marine rails is questionable. Any help apprecoiated.

I can not see how quality of railings could be questionable. If they use a good gauge tube and SS fitting, only thing left would be the quality of the bends which I have never heard of being off.

Phil is correct about the top or go custom and get the right height you want.

I too am restoring a 1973 and looking for a rub rail. Have found the OEMs for around $250 kit. However these are white with black insert. Trying to find solid black.

OEM is off white with black insert. Mainly commercial and later hulls used all black. You can easily find the all black kits. Although sold by Specialty Marine, my bet is they are still made by Barbour plastics who was the OEM supplier.
