Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 1980 13' Sport Ignition switch Needed

Does anyone know where I can get a new Ignition switch and key for my Boat that's goes into the console.it has a 35 Evinrude 35 hp.model E35ELCSM motor,been looking everywhere can't find one.Me and my son are doing a total restoration back to it's original condition,any help would be appreciated,Haven't figured out how to post pictures yet.

That is a very generic key switch. Any marine store or online should fetch you one for well under $20.

Not so generic if you want the original style switch plates etc.

Uh Joe....that is smartcraft key switch. He is talking about a 35hp which was made from 1976 to 1984. The key switch should be in the side control along with the horn. If he is using the old style controls with 2 levers then it will have a generic key switch in the console and you would use the choke on the front of the engine. The 35's do not have an enrichner(choke) and did not use the push to choke switch.

Thanks did get the original switch from evinrude with the matching color codes.
