He has many epoxy type products, and the one i'm interested in is penetrating epoxy sealer. Has anyone had any experience with his products? If so, how would you rate them? (smith and company).
Thanks,
Tommy

I have not used the specific "Steve Smith" product line but have used similar, close to identical, products . Usually rot in the end grain or a wood on wood joint. The filler was a fiber type product (similar to Bondo but stayed flexible). I wood tack on resawn plywood when the surface was still green and when removing, a thin wood veneer wood stick onto the repaired area leaving a wood finish. NON STRUCTURAL. If a structural bearing area, I would apply the penetrating epoxy then block or shim the area. Then go back with a top coat. I would not use this procedure on plywood other that to fix small, minor, spot repair. A soft spot in the deck would remain a soft spot.
