Our hosting service was updating the cluster of servers today from approximately 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
It wasn't supposed to take this long but you know how those things go sometimes.
We were unaware that this was going to happen until it was too late to let anyone know.
I tried putting up a post but the connection was dropping in and out.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've had the same problem with the people who host my site too. They don't give me any warning, I loose my site AND e-mail. To add insult to injury they won't answer the phone. They should do this maintenance stuff from midnight to 4am. Oh well. Glad to see whalercentral is back up.

My hosting service was doing something yesterday too so my site was down for a while.
I'm glad it was only temporary. :D

Those It guys, they never communicate. Opps. I am an IT guy!! Doah!
Given the high reliability of the site, only a slight inconvenience :)

We are having a few problems today also.
They are still upgrading the server clusters and we were just down for about 5 minutes.
They assure me that everything we be finished sometime today....
Let's hope....
We think they are a good Hosting service but things like this do make a person wonder.

Derwd,
Thanks.... Yes, I submitted another trouble ticket today...
If these outages continue we will have no other choice but to change hosting services....

Joe,
Is the PM function working? I'm trying to send one to a member with a boat listed but the PM is not showing in my outbox. He doesn't have an e-mail address listed and didn't leave a phone # so I have no other way of contacting him aside from the board. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Bo,
The Private Messages [PM] are working fine.
You might have the saved sent messages turned off...
To view your settings, click on the "options" in the upper right of the PM window to look at your settings.
http://www.whalercentral.com/messages...er=options
Not everyone wants to save their sent messages so it is off by default....

I have to say Joe that the same problems logging in and viewing pages still are happening as of today, and it could be that Bo was trying to send a PM during a glitch with the site as I had that same thing happen yesterday while trying to send a PM?

Derwd,
Thanks for the heads up.
I haven't seen anything today but will keep my eyes open.
I am in close contact with the Hosting service as they want to know if the site is unreachable at anytime.

I think I've received that same SQL message as above 2-3 times today, but the site is mostly up...

Derwd,
Yes...... We were down again today from 12:55 PM to about now.....
This is getting really old... 5 days in a row with up and down service....
We might have no other choice but to change hosting services if this continues....
Sorry for the inconvenience but we are just as disappointed as everyone else here....

Thanks, I checked and adjusted the settings. I thought after I sent them that they would be in my "outbox" until they were picked up. When none showed there I thought there was a glitch.

We are still suffering sporadic outages today....
I have been in contact with the Hosting service and they are working on it...
However, that doesn't do us much good at this time....
