Norman,

I think you need to be a little more cryptic.

Seriously, if you don't provide more information, you will not get any serious assistance.

What do you have now?

What hardware do you need?

Where are you located?

Are you looking for used seats or vendors that may have seats that will be appropriate? Budget?

Thanks Phil for your suggestions. I am new to this site.

I have a 1985 Outrage 18, with the original Captain Chairs. I like to purchase new or slightly used Whaler Chairs, if available. Would consider different make if post from the chair fits over the post from the floor. I am located in Houston Texas and a Whaler owner since 1981. Currently have 2 Whalers

1985 Outrage models and before should have the Wise seats.

1986 and later should have the Springfield seats.

See this article I wrote back in 2005

Unfortunately the two cannot use the same pedestal or parts unless you are very creative.

Thanks Joe for your information regarding the Captain Chairs on my 1985 Outrage 18. We are using Marine Tex to heal the stress cracks on the chair.
Also JB Weld works on portions of the chair that are out of sight.

I may have a pair of Captain's Chairs from my 1979 22' Revenge. Recently a fellow member gave me another pair and I want to see what they look like. If they work for me, you can have my old ones for shipping costs. I used a pair of Whaler chairs in my other boat and I want to have all the pieces interchangeable.

Are the bases screwed to the chair? If so and can be removed, you can buy any seat you want and just reuse the base on the new chair. I had a set of Scarab bolster seats on my Revenge, very comfy.
