Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Stainless Steel Bow Eye for 1995 24' Outrage

I kept having rust lines running down the outside of my hull from my SS Bow Eye. I kept thinking it was rust from the old anchor chain in the anchor locker. Finally, I removed the bow eye only to find that it was totally corroded thru on one side behind the backing nut. This is a very substantial bow eye and I was shocked that it had corroded all the thru. Does anyone know where to get an exact replacement for this. I really don't want to drill new holes. See attached photo.

Sue is on a well deserved vacation.

You can email her so she will have your inquiry when she returns.

It is worth the wait.

Been there and done that on the same boat. Mine broke just like yours. Actually got the boat from the previous owner with it broke.

This is what I ordered and was a good fit. It is hard to find a 5/8" u bolt. I did have to call them to order the correct one.
