Quality marine cushions are expensive. Especially when they have the correct vinyl colors and textures, piping colors, stainless steel staples and craftsmanship. They will last for 20+ years.

The sole remaining OEM fabricator of Whaler cushions for non-production models is Anderson's Upholstery.

I have used these guys for RPS for the seat and teak back and they are very well made.

I have never heard of Ocean Tailors. I will speculate their RPS cushion price is high because they are re-selling an OEM fabricated seat cushion made by Anderson's Upholstery. Earlier this year I bought an Anderson RPS parchment with brown piping cushion for $332 delivered to my door.

The Specialty Marine cushion is not an OEM design. It is JUNK. The cushion absorbs water like a sponge and the plywood does not have t-fitings like the original design. You screw into the plywood and hope it holds for a summer season on the ocean.

I just installed a new one manufactured by Anderson's. The quality is top notch. This is in "Desert Tan" without the brown piping for my 1988 17' Montauk. You will not be disappointed.
