I need to get a gas tank for my new 1971 13' boat and want to try and get one that will fit under the front seat. Approx measurements are 51"L x 11" W x 7.5"H. Anybody know of ones that will fit?

Thanks
Ed

This is what you want. It is actually designed to fit under the pilot thwart seat, but should work up front too. I think these may be out of production, so get one while you can.

This place is evidently out of stock, but I'm sure you can still find one. Try Ebay, or West Marine, who may be able to locate a leftover in one of the stores nationally.

If you can't find a 12 gallon, the 14 gallon may fit with a low profile cap. Use any of these tanks unpressurized, with an old style cap.

Here is the 14 gallon version.

Some owners have modified their seat by installing it on top of the riser to gain clearance.

Prices are $210-235. Compare shipping costs.

That tank is what I thought about getting but that tank will stick out 4" wider than the seat? My seat is 11" and the tank is 15" wide.

Thanks
