I am looking for information about what swim ladders you use on your 13' Whalers. I have a 1966 13' Sport and have had a difficult time finding information about what swim ladders work the best on these boats. I'm open to portable/collapsible styles, as well as fold down/extending styles. Thank you for your help.

Good morning, jdiesel -- I'm ... um .... in the same boat :) I need a swim ladder for my 16.5-footer. But not every outing.

I'm thinking something like this:

I'm guessing nothing works perfectly, so unless the experts have a better idea, I'm willing to gamble $40 on "probably good enough" for episodic use.

FWIW,
John

I have a 17' Montauk and I use a Rescue Steps. It is a portable ladder.
It might work for your boat as it was designed for smaller boats, even kayaks.

www.rescuestep.com I ordered it from Amazon.

Many 13' owners use a Garelick brand over gunnel telescoping ladder. If it has standoffs, you need to measure to see if they will contact the side. May be too low.
