Looking for advices to replace fuel tank under seat. I do want a single tank, and want it to be more than 12 Gallons.

Joe -

Can't beat the Moeller 22 gallon.

Shop hard on the internet. Prices vary.

Your installation will depend on what you have in place now.

You have several options.

If you have the OEM pads you can trim the interior edges. You can replace the pads (Sue @ Twin Cities) or install another material like 6 Dri-Dek squares (in almond).

I would take this opportunity to replace the fuel line and primer bulb(s). Go with alcohol resistant hose (i.e. Trident) and OEM bulb. Stay away from grey fuel hose.

I installed one in my 1988 Montauk 17 and really like it. Photos are on my homepage.

I replaced the fuel tank on my 1994 Montauk with the 22 gallon Moeler tank. It fit like a glove, and fit perfectly inside the original pads. Plenty of clearance for the fuel line to access the hole. Really looks good under the seat.
