Hello from Australia

I have just purchased a Conquest 305 and it is being kept on a trailer on a hardstand at a riverside yacht club. What I have quickly found is that the wind we get here in Perth blows alot of dust and salt spray onto the boat, so that every time you want to take it out you have to actually wash it down first, otherwise the back deck gets all muddy.

It is impossible to find an off the shelf cover here. It needs to be custom made which is expensive of course.

I have been researching US sites and have found rnr marine in SC can make me one for around US$2,250- plus i have to ship to Oz. These are templated TTop covers for the Conquest. I can not find anything like this in Oz.

a) does anyone have a cover for a Conquest 305 that they can provide some useful guidance for
b) does anyone know RNR marine and is the price quoted reasonable
c) are there other suppliers I should also be considering

Even with shipping I will still save around $1,000.
Thanks, John

John -

Are you looking for a cover for the entire topside?

b) RNR Marine is a legitimate company that is known to whaler members in the States.

c) Given the currency difference, shipping costs and customs duties, is a local company too expensive?

Have you reached out to the Whaler dealer in OZ?

Thanks Phil. I've been quoted from A$4-5k. Probably more like $5k for a custom fit. From the States with shipping I am looking at around $3.7k but at least I will know that it came from a Whaler template.

Yes it needs to go up to but not over the TTop as I have solar panels on top and also be a whole boat cover which is what the Whaler template provides.

Thanks for the distributor details though I will give them a ring. Must admit I had not thought of that.

Cheers

John

Be very careful ordering from RNR marine sales.Even though they offer a 100% guaranteed fit policy they do not stand behind it.I ordered an oem seat cover for My Montauk reversible pilot seat and it wasn't even close.Tried to return it for a refund and they refused. There are many reviews on other sites that have had the same problem. My advise is to Stay away from RNR marine sales.
