Good morning,
I am looking at a 1981 25 Revenge WA locally for an Inside Passage trip and of course great times on the water. The one thing the boat is missing are windshield wipers. The owner commented as we took it out on the water that it never had them when he purchased it. Makes it hard here in the NW to see without them at times. I just wanted to know where I might find them?

The old wiring seems to be there and he had the rest of the boat rewired a couple years ago. The folks who did that for him stated that the running lights didn't work even after rewiring. I figured that would just be a bulb yet if it is more than that, where might I find replacements for them as well.

There are a few other issues that either I or my friends can repair and the boat overall is in good shape with a 225 Yamaha 4 stroke and a new 9.9 Yamaha kicker.

I haven't had to search for parts in a few years and my memory is shorter now so any ideas would be helpful. ;o)

I have a 1979 22' Whaler Revenge. Possibly the interior wiring of your cabin and vessel is similar. The motor for my windshield wiper is located in the cabin. Has some plates to hide the wiring. See if you have a hole that was filled on the bottom center of your starboard windshield. That would be where the post from the windshield wiper motor would come up. If your boat never had the wiper set up I am sure you can install one. If you need measurements I can come up with some. Nothing fancy with the wiring to the wiper motor. Surface mounted on the underside of the cuddy cabin top and works its way to the switch. My navigation wire was located inside the rubber bumper that surrounds the bow and gunnels. Mine worked but when I replaced the bumper ".....what were they thinking....". They spliced in butt connectors (not the shrink type, looked automotive)on short lengths of wire instead of continuous lengths to the lights. I mean what type of savings are you looking at? It looked like 18g wire. When I replaced the wire, I actually ran the new wiring inside the cabin. I had already installed some heavy gauge wire for my anchor winch so my "aesthetics" were already compromised. I zip tied the navigation wire onto the winch wire. Then secured the wire inside the anchor locker. Had to drill new holes from the light fixtures and used a 12" drill bit.

Thanks and yes it looks like there was something attached in the cabin. But where can I find the wiper motors and everything that goes with them?

Looks like when they removed the wiper, the trim pieces disappeared with them. I doubt if those pieces are available but nothing more than cast textured plastic. The trim can be made up. When I have a chance I will measure the layout and design of mine so you have something to work with.

I climbed into my cabin earlier today. I looked and it would be a right angle wiper motor. It would mount with the wiper stem with a water proofing washer and nut on the top side. Then the opposite side has a screw holding the back side in place inside the cabin. I did a quick research and the right angle set up comes in different degrees as the stem comes up through the cabin. I do not know the degree mine is. Probably a question for Chuck Bennett at Whaler or a more knowledgeable member in the club than myself.

Thanks. I have a friend who recently purchased an 1986 22 revenge with wipers so will have to measure his. I did find a large selection of motors available from Fisheries Supply that look like what is in my friends boat so will get over there soon and see if I can get an old part number that might help.
