I have a new (to me) 2016 Dauntless 180, with a stern bench seat with folding backrest. When sitting on the seat, I find the backrest uncomfortable -- the angle is straight up & down. Comfortable seats usually have some "angle" to the backrest, say 20 degrees back from vertical. It appears that this angle is determined by the 2 gas shocks on the ends of the backrest; they are about 10" extended and 7" closed.
Has anyone else had this issue? Tried replacing the stock gas shocks with slightly longer ones (say, 11" extended and 7" closed)? Where do you find these parts? Thanks in advance for any help, Jeff.

Keep in mind if you change the strut to increase its length, 2 details to review.
- Will the seat back swing farther without binding?
Changing the length of the strut may
not allow the seat back to close properly.
