How involved is it to remove and repair the light/chock unit on bow of 17 Montauk (1989 Hull). Rub rail is damaged also.

That should be a straight forward and relatively easy job. If the fiberglass beneath the light or behind the rub rail is damaged the job becomes more difficult as it will involve fiberglass work.

Joe -
The bow light assembly is attached by two screws from underneath the lip.
Pulling the rubrail black insert may be challenging since there is no slack. Try using low heat along the front to add stretch.
