Im restoring my 1967 to as close to original as possible did the 1967 Sakonnets come with the mahogeny floor in the bow and if so where can i buy one or get the plans to make one. I was 6 when my parents bought the boat and dont remember it ever having the mahogeny floor in the bow.

You have a 1967 Boston Whaler Sakonnet model 16 boat that included the forward casting platform. Take a look in the resource/downloads section of this website where you will find a diagram of the casting platform and details of the wood species used.

The deck flooring was vertical grain, douglas fir porch flooring, painted white.

If you don't remember the platform, or it never had one, then it may be a different model.

Are there left over screw holes where a platform would have been installed originally?
