I have a Whaler 17' Center Console Montauk. The boarding ladder & platform are not working for us old folk. The platform has a single step ladder & not being the usual young person its quite difficult to get up the one single ladder step for my wife & myself.

I was wondering if anyone here has replaced the platform or ladder or both to make it a little easier for us old folk to get in & out using the platform. Are there any suppliers that sell replacement platforms with ladders with 2 or 3 steps that will fit my boat. And possibly some easy to understand instructions.

I have been looking at several sites that seem to have what I want but am unsure if it was made with Boston Whaler in mind. Any help would be greatly appreciated by the old folk.

Martin Marine Design(sponsor on this site ) makes great boarding ladders . They are 3 step . I just installed one on a 1970 Katama . Works great . They might just have the ladder if you do not need the platform .

Let me know if you want to sell your current ladder once you remove it, thanks

You could replace the steps or replace the entire platform/steps.

Windline makes some high quality telescoping steps that mount to the platform.

I, too, highly recommend Ray Martin's platforms.
