Anyone have information where i may obtain a riser for my RPS? i would like to raise the RPS to place a cooler underneath. This year outrage has no wood trim in the boat and i would like to keep it that way. I have found some that are made of mahogany but i was interested in finding something that does not require wood maintenance.

I made some out of composite lumber for my Montauk RPS. It is the same Z leg as our 1990-1995 Outrage 17 I.
Something like this:

I have seen a few members fabricate the riser out of welded aluminum.

That is a great idea! Do you have any images of your raised RPS? Did you use two 2x4's or find a 4" post?

I would also consider black Starboard plastic. I had some risers for my console that were made out of that. The black looks good in the boat and is zero maintenance.

Previous owner of my Outrage 17 made some out of black FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) channels and angles bought from McMaster-Carr jointed with SS bolts. Turn out nicely and, by rising the RPS by 3", a 72 Qt. Igloo cooler can fit under it.
