my new project- 1990 Boston whaler 22 foot Justice red dot work boat with dual dive doors. Has anyone ever seen a whaler with dual dive doors? I can't find a single image online of one with this option. Also, will be searching for parts related to at least this size (22.6). Dive
Doors were apparently lost by Govt agency, to the tune of $15,600 if Brunswick replaced them , yes, two dive doors, 60" bottom opening, 71" at top rail, so I will be making those, unless someone has them, shot in the dark, they're not out there, but anyone with parts please let me know, I'm on the west palm beach area, also would trade work for boat parts, I have a lawn maintenance business, tree trimming, land clearing, hedges,
Mowing, cleanouts, etc. you can text
Or call 561-329-4695. In west palm beach Fl. , don't know how
To post pics yet, won't copy/paste. Slate

A photo of dual doors would be interesting to see as I have read and seen that Commercial and Government Products Group (CPG) Division only offered the door on one side.

Hi, Sunshine welding in Cape Canaveral does the aluminum work for Whaler. I had a 18 outrage (1990) and changed out the fiberglass cover boards to aluminum, all they did was bend the angle lip on the inside edge and I did the rest. I do have the fiberglass front hatch cover, in good shape, if you're looking for one.

The attachment below is out of the 1985 Commercial Prices Catalog on page 12.

From this we can see the option for cutouts on both sides.
It sure seems to me the hull would loose strength so they must have done something to reinforce the hull having 2 cutouts.

Thanks Joe, that's the first true confirmation that whaler did make dual cutouts. I can tell that it's factory, as soon as I can figure out how to get some pics on here I'll post them. Thank you thom and Phil as well, good to know about the welding.
