Have a 2006 240 Outrage. Bow hatch cover flaps up and down in rough weather. I have replaced the plastic keeper and a new rubber cylinder collar, but it doesn't appear to keep the hatch from loosening. I cannot install a second keeper on the other side, as there is no recess in the fiberglass like there is on the starboard side. Has anyone had this issue? My friend has a Grady White, and it uses rubber "Southco" lid latches. I don't think these will work, as the lid thickness will not support two screw holes for the keeper. Keep in mind, also, that nothing can protrude up as the bow cushion lays flat. Help with any picture of a fix would be appreciated

Very easy and cheap to fix, just go to Wal Mart and go to the sewing section and get a package of self adhesive Velcro pads. These pads are about 4 inches long by 2 inches wide just stick them in the front 2 corners of your hatch lid and your problem is solved. Another plus to this method is NO holes to drill. A package of I think 3 pairs is about $3 or $4.
