I need to replace the steering cable on my 17' montauk. I have a 2012 90hp e-tec on it.
Can I get some help on which brand/type of cable is best for this boat ?
As well I'm looking for the length I need to purchase?
Thanks for now guys.

Thanks for the article. I see from that I will need an 18' cable. Any idea on what type of cable I need ?
Teleflex No-feedback ?
Thanks for now.

Have you consider installing a hydraulic system instead? I recently installed a Baystar hydraulic steering system and really like it. It wasn't a very complicated installation, maybe took me three hours. The hardest part was getting the air out of the system.
