Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: replacement of external fitting of fuel tank vent

I have a 2003 275 Conquest that has a badly corroded external fitting on the outside of the Hull. Does it unscrew or does it have to be accessed fro the inside? Would very much appreciate some help.

There is no Outrage 275 model in 2003. All Outrage models numbers end in 0.

There is a Outrage 270 model in 2003.

From Whalerparts.com, for the 2003 Outrage 270, there are 2 drawings for thru-hulls:

I'm sorry, you are correct...It is a conquest 275 hardtop

Most Whaler fuel tank vents look like this:

As you can see, they have a nut on the back side for installation.

And you should have a "pie plate" access cover on the inner hull to get to that nut.
You can get the same style vent in stainless for only a few dollars more.
