Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Cleaning the White Mohler 22/24 Gal Fuel Tank?

I just finished a complete refurb of my 1996 Montauk 17 and although not horrible, this relatively new tank is the visual low light. Has anyone found a good product for cleaning the exterior of the subject tank?

I had a friend that swore Magic Eraser worked awesome on the white tanks.

I have that Mohler tank. I would think soft scrub might get it clean. Just take it slowly. I think that tank is painted by Mohler to help with UV. You may be able to paint it. I would check with Mohler on the paint type.

Thanks guys. I'll give the magic eraser a try, report back, and go from there. I really do not want to paint the tank if at all avoidable.
