I am in the process of refurbish a 1982 Outrage 18. I found that my t fitting was installed prior to the rail being bent. I will have to slide it to one side, cut the rail then slide it off. I will have it replated then slide it back on, weld the rail back together , grind smooth , slide back into place and re set the screws.

Should cost around $30

Haven't had it apart yet, assumed it was a slip fitting. Thanks for the info. Might be strong enough put back together without even welding.

No need to weld, just put a "Hot Dog" in.

Do a search for "Hot Dog".

After a talk with Sue at Twin Cities a "hot dog" is on its way.
