Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Will a mooring cover for a Montauk fit my Nauset

Can Anyone tell me if a carver mooring cover for a 17' Montauk would fit my 1966 Nauset? Both have full bow & side railings & the consoles are similar in height.
Has anyone had any experience with this? I am looking online & the vendors all offer for a 17' Montauk but no older. Seems like it should..........

I think you answered your own question.

Have I? LOL
Same hull, (less the smirk of later years), same railings (I think), & the consoles are similar in size (I guess). I suppose I have answered my own question (perhaps I'm just assuming though). I'm hoping to hear from somebody who has tried this already. ( I do like confirmation, not surprises...I'm German :)

We are looking into whether we have a cover option for your Nauset. We will follow up with you again tomorrow.

@ Jkunze

You can use the Carver custom Part #10304* (*add material & color code) designed for the Boston Whaler Montauk 170 w/ bow and side rails for the 1966 Boston Whaler Nauset with bow rails and side rails. The cover will fit the boat, however the sewn in reinforcement patches won't line up exactly. The cover will have a draw-rope in the hem (will exit at the stern) and will have a separate outboard motor cover.

For mooring purposes, we also suggest using either the sand bag mooring kit or the suction cup tie-downs to further secure the cover to the boat.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you Carver industries. That's great news. I'll be ordering the cover from you later this spring.
