Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Looking Stainless Lift off hinges 2002 Dauntlessess

I recently purchased a 2002 180 Dauntless. The stern seat cushions were removed and not available.
I can refit the cushions and starboard seat deck, but I cannot find the lift off stainless hinges that connected to the seat cushions. I have only have of on hinge. It measures 4" long by 1.75" wide. The hole pattern is triangular. I have review all of the available parts lists on Whaler web sites.
These hinges were attached to the hull below the lift up back rest. I could easily buy new hinges, but I want to match the hole pattern that has already been drilled.
Thanks

For tricky parts, the one source is Sue Lodel, Parts Manager at Beacon Marine/Twin Cities Marine.
They are a master whaler dealer and Sue is know by members across the country and abroad as being the source. She provides great service and is a true treasure.
Email her the all the specifics and she can tell you what is available.

Thanks Phil,
I'll email her about the hinges. I have half of one hinge that a previous owner could not remove easily. The bait well gave me only about 3/4" clearance to reach the nuts.
I can cut my own 1/2" starboard to support the seat cushions. A replacement set of cushions for an 18' Dauntless cost about $575.00. A little too pricey at this point.
We have a large number of boat salvage outlets in Florida. Last week, I was digging through a huge pile of cushions, many of them were Boston Whaler embossed. I'll run across a set.
The correct hinges are important, in order to avoid drilling more holes through the transom.
Thanks Again.

Anderson Manufacturing's web site seems to be unresponsive. I'll try again tomorrow.

I have already received a positive response from Sue at Twin Cities Marine. They have the hinges in stock.
Thanks again.
