I am considering adding a rear seat to my 1982 Outrage 18. Most photos I've seen show these seats with a stainless steel tube across the back rest. Does anyone know if this is required? Would it come with he seat if purchased from someone like Specialty Marine or do I have to get it fabricated myself?

Ray Martin produces excellent products that are well designed and high quality. Many members who sourced items from him have been very pleased.

X 2 on Ray's products. I have his front starboard hatch on my whaler and am very happy!

My rear bench seat came from Emerald Coast Marine Interiors.
Located in Florida.

Takes about 2 minutes to remove when I want to free up the aft deck. Same goes for reinstall.

If you want to match all the cushions (pilot seat/cooler/bow) to true OEM..Tena @ Anderson MFG & Upholstery has the original material w/brown piping etc..they make great stern seats as well..Dave has a video on his facebook page showing a fine Outrage stern seat.

We used to have the seat with the "grab bar" / support bar, it is a nice option to have when climbing aboard, mount rod holders or hang dock lines etc..

Grizzly - I have a buddy that's interested.

Simple bench is comfortable and easy to realize and install.
Back rest may result an obstacle to face when rising from the stern ladder.

Thanks for every ones comments. I've made a deal for Grizzly's. Now we wait for spring although with they temps we've been having in VT I could be out on the water.,
