I have a 1988, 18' Outrage. It looks like I am going to have to include skiing my water time next year. I need some suggestions on a swim platform or boarding ladder. I appreciate any and all thoughts and possibility where I might purchase one that would fit the transom of that boat.

The best platforms I have seen are by Martin Marine Design - check the site sponsor list here. I don't know if he makes something just for the Outrage 18, but I bet he'd have a good recommendation if he doesn't.

I will second the Martin Marine made swim platform . Bulletproof and very easy to install. My wife being able to swim and board the boat easily is the best investment I have made .

Just ordered the swim platform from Martin Marine. They could not be more helpful. I also talked to them about a rear seat for the 18' outrage. Any ideas on rear seat configurations?

Abbie, check out the seat Raymond made me for my Outrage 25. He made this from a template I sent him and shipped it to me in Virginia. If you can take your boat there it would be easy.

Now after several years of use I'd not do a thing different on the seat - the removable back rest sitting in rod holders is very functional - the backrests are normally used, but when I fish only we pull the backrests and use the rod holders. And with the seatbacks out my cover for storage fits fine. For an Outrage 18 it would be a little different since you don't have the quarter boxes like on the 25, but you could do similar overall.
