Has anyone out there put teleflex steering in a 110 Sport. What might that cost? Thanks! LTW

The 110 Sport already comes with the Teleflex No-Feedback steering.

Or are you talking about your 1982 Sport 11' model?

My apologies, Joe. Yes, I am referring to my 1982 Sport 11' model. I broke one of the plastic wheels in the metal pulley fitting that is located alongside the steering counsel and I'm considering going to a teleflex system instead of the plastic-coated cable. Might be a good upgrade considering I've had a lot of trouble with the cable steering set-up, which needs several new plastic pulley disks and never seems to work properly for more than a few months at a time. I'm sure that I am not adjusting the cable tension properly and I don't have a BW dealer within 5 hours, so I'm kind of on my own.

Thanks in advance! LTW

In between posts I received the following from Twin Cities Marine, who were kind enough to reply.

"The average 13' BW uses an 9-10 ft kit and I cannot order a 7' kit. The 8' kit would run you 190.00. I apologize but I don't have a labor estimate. Until we know if the cable could make the bend without having to modify the console....we cannot quote this job."

So, that gives me something to think about. I might visit a friend in MLPS this autumn and could perhaps get it done by them if they can work it in.

But if anyone out there in Whalerland has put in a teleflex system in one of the 110 Sports and can tell me if the console needs to be modified please let me know.

So, thanks again. LTW
