Hello....just got to work on a "Barn Find" 1977 Montauk.
....actually I'm well on my way and it's looking good.
I'm new to this site, glad to be a member and will spend hours on it in the near future for sure.
I haven't been able to find a source for 1 inch diameter bow rail fittings. I'm in need of 3 90 Deg T's.
I would greatly appreciate it, if someone could point me in the right direction (assuming there is one)
Thank you for reading and take care...Mike

Welcome aboard WhalerCentral.

The railing and fittings on a 1977 Montauk is 7/8 inch

Many larger Whalers did not start using 1 inch until around 1988 and these were welded without fittings.

Be sure to buy the rail fittings with the allen head set screws. They hold forever, and do not work loose like the old ones Whaler used with a screw tapping into the SS rail. The new allen head compression set screws are much better.
