I have a 11 foot whaler tender (no console). I intend to lift it onto my trawler for stowage, Does anyone have lifting arrangements/suggestions on how to do this?

Is the boat in the water now? If so, why not just load it on the trailer?

What is it sitting on now?

GFC The question is how to hoist it for using it with a large boat (trawler) i.e. does a 11ft whaler offer a lifting lug forward as I assume there would be two lifting lugs/eyes on or near the transom.
Simple question from the OP that somebody with an 11ft tender should be able to answer.

I had an 11-footer at one time that came with a davit lifting bar. Two cables in the rear attached to the two transom lifting eyes. The front slid into a fitting mounted to the bulkhead that formed the front anchor locker. I am sure these were/are sold as kits in marinas that cater to larger boats. Mine was also for lifting the 11-footer onto a trawler.
Good luck!

We used a bridle to lift our 11' sport with outboard, two cables to the stern lifting rings either side of the motor one from the bow the three meet at the balance point and the boat was lifted by one cable. All materials purchased at West Marine. Good Luck!

John, I have an owners manual for 1981 series Whalers that has lifting instructions for two 11' models (11' Sport and 11' Super Sport) If you PM me with your email address I can send it to you. It should have the information you're looking for.
