Does anyone know where we can get the central insert for the steering wheel for a 1988 Super Sport Limited? We just bought a great boat, but it is missing this part! Thanks!

I see the teak ones for sale in marine and outboard shops all the time but they are milled differently. The OEM ones have the end grain facing out.

Huck,
I am sending Ritzy what I believe to be an original insert from my 1979 Revenge wheel. It is a tight vertical grain (too many to count). It has an interesting milled finish but Serge could probably explain it better once he gets it and works with it. The beauty of the original teak was the quality of the grain. I do not think (and do not believe) you can end mill teak. I had a heck of a time finding a mill to resaw a small plank piece because of the woods density. The face of mine is so unique, I was not sure if it was composite or not under poor light.
