Have a new 4stroke yamaha. I want to start adding
RING FREE PLUS for my new engine an also the fuel stabilizer I asked the mechanic upon taking the new engine with me if it was ok to use the RING FREE. He stated it wasn't necessary to just use a good fuel stabilizer. I thought that was odd since it's a new yamaha engine ANY ADVICE. THANKS AGAIN

Ring Free is used to remove deposits from the engine created during combustion. Fuel stabilizer is used in an attempt to extend the longevity of fuel shelf life, especially useful when using ethanol blended fuel. The two products are not the same thing.
I use ring free additive because it is recommended by Yamaha to extend the life of my engines. Both ring free and fuel stabilizers are discussed in your owners manual with your new Yamaha engine. Use of ethanol blended fuel is also covered.
My best advice would be:
You really don't need to rely on what people tell you if you read that owner's manual :)
