I have an
1987 outrage (no T-top). I'm looking for a mooring cover to protect the boat (at dock) from the sun (trying to protect the teak, seats, etc.). I've researched this site and others and haven't found many options.
I do have the Dodger cover if that helps. I have never installed it (only owned the boat for a short time). Is there something that connects to the dodger to extend the cover all the way to the stern (have seen pics) or is my best solution to find a complete mooring cover (but where?)
Thanks for any help - Seems like lots of options but confusing.

The Mills Mooring Cover works very well for my 1985 Outrage 18. It keeps water and debris out much better than the Montauk cover due to a tensioned fit and gussets at the rail protrusions. It is pricey though. I paid $1152 for the cover + shipping to Seattle.

If your dodger is the Mills forward shelter there is an aft cover that attaches to it and extends to the splashwell and snaps to the gunwales. It works great as a mooring cover but your teak gunwales are exposed. I recently purchased one for my 1986 Outrage 18 - contact Mills Canvas for more info but note that this solution only works if your forward shelter is made by them.
Good luck,
