Has anyone had miscommunication with UDP?
I placed an order then they send a email to confirm the order with measurements. My measurements are not as theirs and the email states to send pictures. I sent pictures and get a reply if that maybe I should send the windshield. My shield is 19 inches tall and theirs measures at 19 3/4 I have a grab rail around it and I think it will be too close.
I have seen many posts of people ordering from UDP and I was looking to see if there is a way to make the process smoother.
Thank You..
Kevin

If you send them your windshield you will not get it back because they destroy it to measure for the new shield, but that is the best way to ensure you get the exact replacement.
With UPD, you have got to follow their instructions exactly to the letter in order to get them to make a windshield for you. I can only imagine the amount of returns that they have dealt with over the years because of a miscommunication about a certain width, taper or radius being wrong.
But I must say they do beautiful work.

Kevin -
I have found that when email communication is not producing the desired goal to pick up the phone and call them.
Their phone # is on their main page.

Thanks! They did send an email back (this morning) stating that 3/4" was too much, and to send them the windshield.
I will inquire about getting my old windshield back.
The next problem is the boating season will be over here in New England by the time I get it..
Thanks for your input!
