Found one listed for sale, not sure if the beams are the same width, both are 17' models.

Also good source for deck mounted metal slides and hardware, would prefer it to stow forward and have metal over plastic hardware.

Sorry I meant to post this under general not parts.

Thanks

This chart should give you the information you need.

You should not have a problem, as that chart shows, the hull measurements are the same.

I purchased a used Mills bimini w/ SS frame last summer for my 1978 Montauk. I never asked the seller what year his boat was...he just said it was a Montauk. I bought a Carver slider and track kit online, trimmed them to the length I wanted and screwed them right to the gunwales. The bimini slides over and past the bow rail for stowage on the outside of the rail.

I was using the flying top that came with the boat previously but that did not provide enough shelter for the family and I never liked how it took up all the bow space when stowed - it mounted on the interior of the boat.

Thanks for the Carver details. Do you have any pictures of the sliders installed? I am looking at this project for my 1972 Nauset 16. Probably has similar gunwales to your's. (as well as the vintage Mercury)

(moderator note: please follow guideline #1 on the front page and use the full 4 digit year)

Your welcome, just passing on info I learned here. I just added a pic to my PP showing the slider installation...it's the last pic on the page.

I think my Merc 75hp is an 1985/1986...I can never remember.
