Greetings all,
I need to replace the original front of console Igloo cooler for my 1986 18 Outrage. The Igloo 94 qt cooler is too big to fit within the mahogany chocks. They appear to be original equipment. Not sure I can move them outward as they would extend beyond the console and be a possible trip hazard. Anyone find something else that fits or have a suggestion?
Thanks,
Mike

My buddy has an older Montauk and I believe his cooler seat is the next size down ice chest from the 94 qt.. Check igloos website for sizes. Same comfort for two people.

In 1986 Igloo offered an 86 quart cooler and this is what you have. The Igloo 94 quart is the updated version of this.
You don't say but I suspect you have the chocks that allow the cooler to sit on the deck, but a better option would be to install the "Montauk Style" cooler chocks that sit under the cooler seat and do not protrude from the ends at all.
The Montauk style cooler chocks also allow the deck to drain under the cooler. They are really a much better design all around.
In a Montauk, some folks use the 72 quart cooler but this is not as comfortable for two people and offers less storage. For an Outrage 18, use the 94 quart model.
