I bought my BW for fishing ,17 newport 90 HP Eve, I've only had it 2 wks, I'm thinking of taking the bow rail off, so I could fight fish all the way around. BW does not have bow rail around it and it seems safe. what are some thought about taking the rails off. mike

I say take them off. I dislike bow rails in general. Fighting fish is even a better reason than mine!

Take em off. I'm a fly fisherman and the rails on my boat just get in the way. Unfortunately, the cover I have is made to fit with the rails, and the bimini uses the rail for the forward support. It's going to take a little more study before it comes off.

Take them off but don't get rid of them! Someday you will regret it.

X2 on not getting rid of them. When you sell it, I guarantee the new owner will want them.

I guess we aren't going to get a reply on what the original poster means by WB or FIL WB.
I would like to remind everyone that this is NOT a texting site.
If you can't tell us what you mean by typing it out, then you probably will not get an appropriate answer to you question.
