Can anyone tell me if Teleflex steering systems are good quality. And if using there Morse rotary system what helm. The boat has a very small helm station and a 50 horse yamaha 4 stroke

Telling us what model Whaler always helps.

Size, model, year ?

Teleflex has been used on Whalers since the beginning of time. (after the rope pulley system on small models)
Yes, they are very good.

It is a 15ft I will say standard model. Not really sure what year. I would guess late70 early 80

OK.

15 foot model.
If it has a Whaler console it would then be a Sport model.
Or, if it has an aftermarket console, then it would be a "Custom" model.

A Standard model does not have a console and is steered with the tiller handle on the motor.

Teleflex NFB Safe-T II, might be a good choice.
