I'm thinking about replacing my 15 year old cushions on my 1998 Dauntless 15. Specialty Marine is a sponsor here and their prices seem quite reasonable. However, I'm led to believe that the Specialty offerings are not "true" OEM.
Has anyone had recent experience with the Specialty cushions and how do they compare with the OEM suppliers on the Whaler corporate site....Anderson MFG and Halls Nautical.

Halls is out of business. I used Anderson Mfg last winter and they matched the original color and fabric quality nicely. No experience with Specialty Marine but there are posts comparing the fabric quality with the OEMs.

I got a bow cushion for my 1992 15' GLS from Specialty. The piping around the edge wasn't sewn to the top and the side piece all the way. I was going to send it back, but my wife has a sail maker's sewing machine, so she fixed it in about 15 minutes.
