I am rehabbing an Outrage that I just picked up and it currently has a piece of plywood covering the bow deck hatch.
I am looking to have a new glass one made and am looking for some pics on its construction.
Also, how is the hatch secured?

You might try contacting Whaler Commercial Products. The bow lockeer cover for the Guardian 18 is the identical item. They discontinued the boat a couple of years ago, but could have on laying around. It most likely would be in the light gray color, but you could have it gelcoat sprayed or Awlgripped for the correct color. Who knows, maybe they will even make you one in Desert Tan if they still have the mold.
The cover is hinged to the hull on it angled starboard side with 2 hinges. There may be details on this site.
For sourcing a used one, the cover was also used on the 20-25 Outrages, so there could be one out there somewhere for sale.

On my 1988 18 foot Outrage the anchor locker cover is not secured. It has no hinges but I plan on taking care of that.

The hinges were first used on the 1989 moldels, 18-25 Outrages. I retro-fitted the bow locker cover on my 1986 year boat.

On my 1978 V-20 Outrage I had plywood anchor locker covers which desperately needed replacing. I did with painted plywood as temporary solution. Does anyone know if there are fiberglass replacements available?
