Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: windshield rubber grommets 1974 Montauk 17

Painting cc and the rubber pads for the windshield came out but left the little threaded insert, which was an integral part of the rubber. Other than using a rubber washer does anyone know where you can get real replacements ?? I didn't mess up the plastic insert to the windshield just the bumper pads.

(changed the abbreviated year to the full 4 digit year of 1974)

I believe you are talking about rubber "well nuts". You'd have to check to see if they have the exact size you need, but Lowe's carries rubber well nuts with brass inserts in the hardware section. Look in the section with all the drawers full of assorted stainless and specialty fasteners.
