I just received new cooler hooks from Sue at Twin Cities (EXCELLENT service) but they did not come with screws for attaching them to the cooler. No big deal, as I can just go pick a few up. But, was wondering if anyone knew what length would work as I dio not know the thickness of the cooler walls and do not want to puncture through the interior of the cooler.

I have the replacement 94qt Igloo on my Montauk 17.

Thanks.

I use #8 x 1/2" truss head sheet metal screws. There is some thickness to the cooler so longer screws may work as well.

A polysulfide caulk, such as BoatLIFE Life-Calk, should be used to seal those screws in the hull to prevent water intrusion.
