So I'm going to have the E-TEC 90 mounted on my 1984 Montauk 17. I've seen suggestions to mount the motor three holes up but could find no prop suggestion with that configuration. I've seen a suggestion to mount it two holes up and using the Stiletto 13 1/4 x 15 prop. Not sure of the dates on those posts. Anyone have this engine/hull combination can make a suggestion as to current thinking on mounting height and propeller?

With the Stiletto Advantage you can mount the motor at either of those heights. If you use the BRP Viper, two holes up is about all you can do.
Here is Len Simpson's Montauk with its E-Tec 90 mounted all the way up. He is using a 13-1/4" x 15" Stiletto Advantage.
