I like the style that rest down right at the bow of the boat when they aren't in use! I want to put one on my 1972 Katama. What would work best on my boat? I really appreciate any help!

In about 1996, Mills changed their canvas layout so it rested in front of, and outside of, the bow rail.
This is the preferred method for me and many others as it gets the canvas out of the inside of the boat.

If you were to buy a new Mills, then I would suggest you get the newer style as shown in the links above with the tracks.

If you buy aftermarket, then you might have to adjust where the slider in mounted on the gunwale or buy a longer slider.
From your personal page, you don't have a bow rail but the installation would still be the same with the sliders.
