I am looking for some shade on my 1995 Montauk 17.
What size/brand bimini should I purchase to stow outside the bow rail? This is critical as I am always fishing the front deck and space is a premium.

Thank you,

Casey -- A bimini is a single mounting point piece of canvas. You need only measure the width of your bow rail and decide on its height. Any number of manufactures offer biminis made with Sunbrella Fabric.

Thanks. I am looking for some specifics if possible.
I know Bottomfish installed a tracked mounted bimini which allows stowage at bow and stern.
Im looking more for the brand and height from people who have used them and been satisfied.

Mills would be my first choice.

From around 1996 on, Mills used sliding tracks which allowed the Sun Top to be stored in front of the bow rail.

I converted a couple of tops adding the slide tracks.
I think this might have been a Cablea's top.

I have no idea what brand of top I had on my prior Montauk.

I never got around to adding the slide tracks as I sold the boat.
